About This Game
In >observer_, the Chiron corporation won, which founded the Fifth Polish Republic, over which total control was established. Third-person psychological horror thriller based on fictional events of the 21st century. The whole world was hit by a nanophage – a digital plague – that killed more than 30% of the world’s population. The remaining people, taking advantage of the chance, expressed their anger towards the government and started a civil war. People were addicted to virtual reality and drugs, exiled to the ghetto: impoverished areas of the PPR, in which people are kept in hellish, terrible conditions. The PPR also organized a system of Observers. This is a special police control service that interrogates all people who are connected to the exocortex.
The plot smoothly takes us to Krakow in 2084. Our protagonist, Daniel Lazarski, is a detective. In the cut-scene, he received a call from his son, who, according to numerous beliefs, was missing. After tracing the call, we go to the ghetto area, to the house of category “C”, where we find a decapitated body. A full scan of the implant reveals that the protagonist received a call from a character with the initials H.N., who later turns out to be Helen Novak. In her apartment, we find a man who is dying, and we study his brain, conducting a neurointerrogation. The next scene is a tattoo parlor in the courtyard of the house. The whole gameplay lies in the fact that we can hack into the minds of other people, penetrate their heads, learn fears, but gradually get to know our son, who remains the only meaning of the life of an elite detective of the future – Daniel Lazarsky.
