About This Game
The first-person puzzle game Portal 2 received an official announcement only in the spring of 2011, after several postponements. The plot of the game continues the line started in the first part of the “Portal” series. A girl named Chell defeated a powerful artificial intelligence that went out of control and destroyed the entire staff of the Aperture Science research complex. The girl managed to stop the raging cybernetic creature, but through negligence, GLaDOS was restored by her. This time, she will again face the same trials that nearly killed her the first time.
Moving around the scientific complex will be carried out using a special hand-held device that opens small portals – passages between space. Artificial intelligence will put spokes in the wheels of the main character, in every possible way preventing her from achieving her goal – to stop GLaDOS forever. Whether she succeeds this time, or whether the AI will now turn out to be a triumph, depends on the actions of the player himself.
Valve director Gabe Newell called Portal 2 the best game the studio has ever made. Despite the fact that the graphics have not stepped far forward in comparison with the original part, excellent physics does its job, presenting the player with an interactive semi-open world. According to the creators, the first part was only a test of the pen, and the continuation is already a full-fledged game. Portal 2 is also a game for two with a built-in level and character editor.
