About This Game
The Bard’s Tale is a hilarious top-down 3D action RPG. Employees of the inXile Entertainment studio worked on this project. The official release of the project came in mid-summer 2005.
The plot of the game tells about the adventures of the main character of the game – Bard. He is a mercenary who is not interested in fame or success, everything for which he goes on cartoon adventures – the treasures that can be obtained, and those that his clients promised him. And now, once again, he sets off on a path full of dangers and unforeseen difficulties. The voice of the narrator will accompany the Bard throughout his epic adventures in the fantasy world, and sometimes a dialogue will arise between the hero and the narrator, or even a real verbal skirmish.
Otherwise, we have a typical “hack and slash”, like Dungeon Siege, Diablo and Sacred. The hero is a generalist in the use of various types of weapons and has even learned a few spells. Pump skills, develop strength, dexterity, magical skills, get mountains of treasures on campaigns, and then exchange gold in city trading shops for ammunition and weapons.
