About This Game
Thief is the fourth part of the first-person stealth action game. This project was a restart of the entire universe, which means a new beginning, using the old lore, for example, the use of the pagan god Trickster (Tempter) in the plot, the presence of cathedrals and churches as monuments of art in memory of the factions shown in the previous parts of the series, and long lost its power in the new game due to the transfer of time frames a couple of centuries ahead.
The protagonist is once again Garrett, a master of the art of stealing. He has a student assistant, Erin, involved in the twists and turns of the plot. Events take place in a fictional city, stylistically reminiscent of a mixture of steampunk and the Victorian era. The head of this settlement is Baron Northcrest, who only wants to create a real revolution in technological terms within his territories.
The main antagonist was the leader of one of the two factions into which society is divided, or rather the “Illuminated” – Orion. The second group is called “Guard”. Their confrontations and Garrett’s participation in them will be at the center of the plot throughout the prologue and 8 chapters of The Thief.
The gameplay is as diverse as possible thanks to advanced artificial intelligence, which knows the area well and easily changes the usual route to catch the main character. The levels are non-linear, the gamer needs to choose the path to follow to the goal on the map. The energy of Primal will also play an important role in the gameplay, giving people superpowers at the cost of losing their human form and clouding their minds.
