About This Game
X-COM: Interceptor is the third installment in the series, following “Apocalypse”. The gameplay combines elements of strategy and tactical control in space. The gamer enters the future in 2067. On the home planet of mankind, all resources have been depleted. Megacorporations and influential organizations set their sights on exploring distant stars in order to prevent civilization from collapsing.
For the extraction of useful materials, a suitable space zone “Boundary” was found. The comic planes have successfully reached their designated location. The crew met with Mutons, Sectoids and other races. They imply that they have other plans for humans as they try to destroy him. In this part, events unfold far from the planet, compared with their predecessors. Instead of the territory of the globe, the user uses a star map. The gamer is able to make the administrative and strategic decisions of his organization.
Research is being done inside space stations and modules are being built. Each hangar can have a maximum of 3 aircraft.
